Project Description
Located in the Town of Summerville’s Oakbrook community in the southeast side of Dorchester County, Waters at Oakbrook was built on 12.5 acres of previously undisturbed woodland. 216 residential units are housed within nine 3-story buildings and are accompanied by amenities including a business center, fitness center, community space, swimming pool, and dog park.
In addition to a complete sitework package that included new utilities, storm drainage, and a detention pond, preparing the poorly-draining site for building construction required supplementary methods such as screening the organic-laden topsoil for adequate structural fill and properly compacting both the building pad and drive lane subgrades with concrete stabilization procedures.
Scope of Services
Erosion control; clearing, excavation, earthwork, grading, and construction of detention pond; storm drainage; facility water and sanitary sewer installation; curbing, paving, pervious pavers, and sidewalks.
