Project Description
Situated on five acres of marsh front property along the beautiful Ashley River, the Catholic Diocese of Charleston’s pastoral center consists of three separate structures: a 30,000 SF chancery office building, a 6,900 SF assembly hall, and a 4,000 SF chapel.
This multi-phased, fast-tracked project began with a complete sitework package that incorporated underground drainage systems, earthquake drains, and a Contech Terre Arch precast storm water detention system.
To ensure that the site’s majestic live oaks and adjacent wetlands were not impacted during construction, extensive environmental protection measures were maintained throughout the duration of the project.
Scope of Services
Erosion control and tree protection; excavation, earthwork, and grading; storm drainage with a precast subsurface storm water detention system; facility water and sanitary sewer installation; curbing, paving, and sidewalks.
