Project Description
Under the direction of the Department of Homeland Security, this design-build project saw the construction of a dormitory that serves as a home for in-training Federal Law Enforcement officers. Located on 5.2 acres on South Hobson Avenue within Charleston’s former naval base on the Cooper River, the 400-room, 35,000 SF dormitory, arranged in a five-story “H” configuration, won an award from the Design-Build Institute of America and is LEED Silver certified for energy efficiency.
Scope of Services
Erosion control; excavation, earthwork, and grading; storm drainage with water quality unit; roadway preparation and asphalt paving; landscape installation.
